SCHOOL VISIT OVERVIEW

(Grades K - 5)

Cassandra is known for her high-energy and inspiring school visits. Her picture books This Is a Sea Cow and This Is a Seahorse are designed to resemble school homework assignments and make natural teaching tools for educators.

During her visit, Cassandra’s goal is to get kids exploring the creative process through reading her picture books, doing interactive drawing games and story workshops. Some of the things she may talk about include: becoming an author/illustrator, overcoming perfectionism and self-doubt, the time she rescued a baby manatee, the book-making process, and revealing some top-secret-behind-the-scenes stuff!

Once a presentation is booked, Cassandra will work with the school to determine what they’d like her to focus on during her visit. Cassandra is open to both larger assemblies and smaller classroom workshops.
